Thynninae (лат.) — подсемейство перепончатокрылых насекомых (Hymenoptera) подотряда жалоносных (Apocrita) в составе семейства ос-тифиид (Tiphiidae). Австралия и Южная Америка.Около 600 видов. Личинки паразитируют (эктопаразиты) на пластинчатоусых жуках, которых взрослые осы парализуют и откладывают на них свои яйца. Самки бескрылые, а самцы крылатые. У большинства видов во время брачного полёта самцы хватают самок и летают с ними (удерживая их) до одного часа[1]. Места прикрепления усиков самок отделены друг от друга; тегулы отсутствуют[2]. Псевдокопуляция цветков орхидей отмечена у Neozeleboria cryptoides[3].
Систематика
50 родов[2] и около 600 видов[4]. Традиционно Thynninae рассматриваются в составе семейства Tiphiidae[2][1][5]. По данным современных исследований (Pilgrim et al., 2008) [6] надсемейство Vespoidea признано парафилетичным и поэтому некоторые группы выделены в самостоятельные семейства и даже надсемейства: Tiphioidea (Sierolomorphidae + Tiphiidae) и отдельно Thynnoidea (Chyphotidae + Thynnidae).
